BTL-COP Presented at International Community Policing Seminar in Poland

March 2026

On 24-25 of February 2026 BTL-COP was presented at the International Seminar on Community Policing, held in Legionowo, Poland and hosted by the Polish Police.

Bringing together around 75 participants from across Europe — including law enforcement authorities, academia, and policymakers — the seminar focused on one key idea: public safety as a shared responsibility between police and communities.

Delivered in an interactive workshop format, the event combined strategic discussions with hands-on sessions. Participants explored real-life scenarios, exchanged experiences, and worked together on identifying effective approaches to strengthening local security.

Discussions highlighted the growing importance of trust, communication, and partnership in modern policing, as well as the role of training, education, and emerging technologies in supporting these efforts. Speakers from across Europe shared practical insights and good practices, reinforcing the need for collaborative and community-based approaches.

Within this context, BTL-COP was presented by representatives of Policía Local Valencia (BTL-COP project partner), contributing to discussions on community policing, trust-building, and European collaboration in addressing contemporary security challenges — and positioning the project as a concrete response to this shift towards more inclusive, trust-based, and preventive approaches to public safety.

Events like this underline the importance of connecting research with real-world practice, ensuring that project outcomes respond to actual needs on the ground.
